A: Any industry that requires advanced manufacturing, this could be food, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, petrochemicals, polymers, energy or even plant propagation.
Q: I have a new advanced material, but use a conventional method of manufacturing, do I qualify for support.
A: Most certainly, we look forward to hear from you.
Q: I have a really innovative product that needs to be manufactured; can I contact BADIR-AMI to discuss this?
A: Yes, if your product is really innovative and can create job opportunities for Saudi nationals, we will consider supporting you.
Q: What does BADIR-AMI consider as hot spot opportunities?
A: Anything related to key industries in Saudi, that is energy, petrochemicals, food security, water technology, or any product or technology that will result in the increase of knowledge and skills for our Saudi nationals.
Q: How long does BADIR-AMI entrance process take?
A: Once you submit an application, you can expect to hear from us within two weeks. Thereafter the progress depends on your level of collaboration with us.
Q: I need to build a prototype to prove my concept, can BADIR-AMI assist with this?
A: If you can convince us in theory that your concept will work, and can explain the benefits it offers, then we will provide you a small amount of funding to build your prototype and access to rapid prototyping facility.
Q: I currently work for a research institution (including KACST) finalizing my research project, will I qualify for support?
A: Yes, but bear in mind we're looking for entrepreneurs to commercialize research outcomes.
Q: I am a female Saudi, can I also apply?
A: Yes, there is no reason why not, provided you plan to engage in advanced manufacturing, advanced materials or advanced manufacturing technology.
